Fairoaks Barn - an Exclusive Venue

We certainly don't want to give the wrong impression, because Fairoaks is a very tranquil and family orientated place. However, there are many people that ask us whether they can celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays etc, that we wanted to offer them the chance of having a gentle celebration, without either them or us, worrying about impacting other visitors.

We have a wonderful 19th Century Barn, with its own totally private camping area which can be rented on a daily basis (or more likely) for a weekend.

Visitors have use of the main barn for the duration of their stay. The emphasis is on an informal get together, where people can relax in and around the barn, having a bite to eat, a bit to drink and in the evening, dancing and music inside the barn.

It is pretty ideal for parties between 40 and 110 in number, although a few more or a few less would work equally well.

There is a barbecue area (2 large barbecues available) and a separate smaller barn that incorporates a basic kitchen (Oven Hob, Microwave, Sink). It comes with its own loos and washing area.

The main barn has electricty and we are happy for you to dress the barn as long as any decorations are temporary and cleared up by the end of the stay. You can also invite non-campers to visit, so family and friends who may not be into camping can also join the celebration.

A small bridge leads to the camping meadow, which is bang next door (across a track). Campers can enjoy an open fire and relax safe in the knowledge that children can be as far from, or near to the barn as their age requires.

Costs are flexible, depending on requirements. However, to give you some idea, the minimum fee for rental of the barn and camping (for up to 90 people) is £3400 (less than £10 per person per night). You can obviously bring your own drink and food.

If this is of any interest, please do not hesitate to fill in the availability form (above) and we would be happy to organise a time when you can come and see it for your self.
