Things to Do

This is always a difficult one because whenever we go camping, we end up spending far more time lounging around and relaxing than we ever expect to...

So, we have tried to split the huge number of activities that are available into byte sized categories.

One of the most obvious attractions of the area are its great walks, whether it be on The South Downs  or on some of the beautiful walks that can be taken from the home farm. We are lucky here at the farm to have so many footpaths available for our campers. There are strolls, walks, rambles and route marches. They can take in pubs, hamlets, villages, tea rooms, the sea, the downs, towns - just not cities, although Brighton is only 20 minutes minutes by car!

Cyclists also have a fine time of it too. In fact there are numerous local cycling clubs (we are told that it is something to do with the hills) or closer to home. Walking to the Downs is fine, but it is quite steep to get to the tops, so do bear that in mind. It takes about 15 minutes from our entrance to the first climb, but if you aim towards Chanjctonbury Ring, at least you will see this most famous landmark before exhaustion sets in.
